SGROFT, HERETIC OR NOBODY
Sgrof, Herética ou Ninguém

Sgroft and Heretic are me, you, everyone around us, or maybe no one. “Nobody” being the distance from what one does not know and from what one does not admit not knowing. A faulty machine that we refuse to fix on a daily basis, pieces of equipment that we don't even admit the need to adjust.

A man and a woman meet to close a deal, and delve, through the trivial, the apparently philosophical and metalanguage, into the world of superficiality of human relations, the distance between people and the emptiness that results.

As a result of a society that seeks social maturity, the modern and intelligent human being creates for himself precepts that supposedly should bring him closer to a more precise concept of himself, but that distance him every day more from his animal essence, fragile and vulnerable to the adversities of life.

Oscillating between the limits of the ridiculous, the primordial and the intellectual, Sgroft and Heretica mirror an explicitly neurotized, confused and vulnerable society, which seeks to strengthen itself by creating norms that, in fact, end up generating an ever greater distance between people - an abyss between them and the most intimate part of themselves.

The fear of ridicule, the need for self-affirmation and competitiveness in a society that transforms people into statistical market indices, end up creating figures that are almost an aberration, caricatures of themselves.

Sgroft and Heretica throw themselves into a universe where their internal, explicit and living animal clashes at all times with the external projection they have created for themselves. And with that, they generate a feeling that oscillates between laughter and screaming, in order to, subliminally, remind us that the inner bug that screams and bothers us is not necessarily a character flaw. It could be our forgotten sensibility that is asking permission to come out and breathe.
